It is possible that the new Traktor Pro 3 provides a method for flexible beat grids, I only used Pro 2. I haven't used the controller for quite a while now and only use it occasionally. Another option is to use other software to 'correct' the variations in tempo of the tracks, but actually that's taking the soul out of the music. There is a cumbersome procedure to reset the beat, but with music with lost of tempo changes, you need to redefine the 'beatmarkers' every few bars. Beat matching using the sync button is no problem as long as you play electronic music that comes out of a box, but with 'real' music it's almost impossible. The software, however, is outdated as - contrary to other software - it does not allow to create flexible or 'elastic' beat grids. No comments on the effect as I don't use them. The lit pads make it possible to work in a dark environment. Setting up and connecting to a laptop is extremely easy and presents no problems. The hardware is good, well built and relatively easy to use, probably comparable to most other suchlike dj controllers of a respectable brand (although I can't compare). I'm totally satisfied with the price/quality and plan to extend my gear park by NI S4 asap. My advice: understand the Shift button modification for a smooth experience with the controller out of the box – use it to quickly navigate the track and extend the pitch range when you play unfamiliar tunes and want to do your best for the first time. All controls (faders, encoders, knobs) are tactile friendly, when it be able to push it's understood by touch. I used the controller with an old Lenovo W541 laptop under Windows 10 圆4 with constantly updating OS - no errors or crashes for all time. The sound quality on both outputs (RCA and mini-jack) is excellent. No difficulties with the first installation and setting up software - it saves a lot of time and nerves. Before the S2 MK3, I used the Numark Mixtrack Pro II controller and now I'm really happy with the ergonomics. First, I want to note the reliability of the USB connector - this is the first thing you come across. I have been using the controller since the end of 2018. If you need something more serious you should look elsewhere (and invest more). I totally knew what I was getting when ordering. The sound is nice, just a little bit quiet.Īll in all, I don't regret the purchase. I recommend using XLR to RCA cable for connecting studio monitors. Also on the back there are only unbalanced outputs (RCA) and AUX, no XLR. Only 1/8" jack for the headphones, instead of the bigger more professional 1/4". The sound coming from this is somewhat on the quieter side. Set this in your software to +/- 8% and it will be better. The pitch slider is small and beatmatching could be quite hard. Also there is not an IN/OUT buttons for the loops, but you could do a mapping in Traktor for this pretty easily. You could use custom mappings for free, which are not ideal or invest in a Kontrol X1 (which is not so cheap) to manage this. It can get quite boring using only the mixer FX ( you can use only 1 for each channel). Most of the people have said this already, but yeah - why removing the effects knobs, when the MK2 already has it. I only don't like the hotques/sample buttons at the bottom, but lets say that they are OK. All the buttons and knobs feel really good and clicky. It is really well built and feels sturdy. For this task or for learning basics of DJ-ing this is a very good controller. I use this to mainly have quick fun by myself or with my friends, without the inconvenience of carrying or wiring mixers, turntables and etc.

Don't forget that InDesign's data merge can swap between image files including illustrator files based on a column in the source sheet if, say, you want different icons or logo variants for different departments. Any illustrative elements beyond simple lines and boxes in Illustrator then placed into the InDesign layout, since Illustrator's the best tool for that job.GREP rules to auto-format things like titles/credentials, e.g.inline objects, such as images (sometimes useful ).vertical alignment (so long text doesn't leave awkward uneven whitespace on that one card where the names are shorter than usual so it doesn't reach the end of the line).excellent paragraph style/character style management. You also benefit from InDesign-only text features, like: Layout and text in InDesign using data merge placeholders. So a very strong case can be made for the following super-efficient workflow: but happy recurring clients coming back for bigger variants on work they liked (delighted by your super-fast turnaround times) can really help keep the wolf from the door. Even if you're designing for a 2-person startup, with any luck a year or two down the line they'll be coming back to you for business cards for their 8 newly hired employees, then coming back a few years later with a much bigger budget as they open their Asia office. Lots of great answers but I'm surprised none of them have talked about batch production of business cards with data merge templates. What DPI should be used for what situations? How to print photographic postcard/business cards What are the dimensions of a business card? Some related posts you might find useful: As Confused mentions, all printers will be happy with Illustrator files, there are plenty of examples you can follow and the result will just be, overall, better. So, in short, I'd say most cards get designed in Illustrator. You can do anything you can in Photoshop - illustration-wise - and you will be able to get everything ready for production in no time. Illustrator's drawing capabilities are closer to Photoshop, but 'better' for non-raster illustrations. It's also widely used in printing, but not for multipage documents like InDesign, as it has no support for master pages and it doesn't let you automate page numbers. Illustrator is used for illustrations, logos, and scalable graphics in general. So, you could use Photoshop, but then you'd have issues preparing the files for the printer. Think of it more as a way to edit pictures you want to then add into printing materials. Its main 'power' comes with its image manipulation possibilities. Photoshop is best for creating and editing photos or raster images. Yes, you could use InDesign, but you will be missing drawing features. The good thing is: It packages fonts and images all in one file, but the file size will generally also tend to be bigger, so in your case, it might be a bit of an overkill. However, where it shines is with multiple pages (tools like text wrap are extremely powerful). That's its strength, you can see it as a way of joining Photoshop and Illustrator elements into a new 'thing'. InDesign's specific purpose is laying out printed materials. If you have the time, I'd definitely recommend you pick one (spoilers: It's Illustrator). While the three Adobe products have some similarities of use, they all require some learning time. If you are particularly proficient with one of them, you might want to consider going for that one to save time. In theory, any of those (plus others you haven't mentioned, like the open source alternatives Gimp and Inkscape) let you design a business card. If financial stress isn’t keeping you awake at night, then price probably won’t be as big an influence when it comes to this purchase. In addition to the wide variety of built-in instruments and samples, you can plug instruments directly into the iPad and record them. You can also use M1 and M2 iPads with an external display and Stage Manager multitasking, but a big draw for these apps is portability, something you can’t take as much advantage of when hooked up to a monitor. I tried it on a current-gen 12.9-inch iPad Pro with an M2 chip as well as an older 11-inch iPad Pro from 2020 with the A12Z chip. It’ll work on any iPad with an A12 Bionic or newer processor, which covers a lot of devices: Pros from 2018 onward, Airs from 2019 or newer and even the basic iPad, starting with the 2020 release. Of the two apps, Logic Pro requires less horsepower. I’m not a movie-maker, and I’ve only dabbled in digital audio workstations, but I was nonetheless intrigued to see how successful Apple was at bringing them to the iPad and how well they performed. Apple provided an answer to that question a few weeks ago when it announced versions of its Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro for the iPad. In fact, since Apple started putting its M1 and M2 chips in the iPad Air and iPad Pro, it hasn’t been totally clear what all that power is for. Since those early stumbles, years of advancements in software and more capable hardware - like the iPad Pro - have forged Apple's tablet line into an extremely capable creative tool. The first iPad came with fairly capable versions of the company’s Pages, Numbers and Keynote productivity apps, and the more powerful iPad 2 was released alongside tablet-specific versions of GarageBand and iMovie. Right from the start, Apple tried its best to battle that perception. Ever since Apple released the first iPad in 2010, a common refrain is that the tablet is great for consumption, not creation. Ultimately, the Corsair 275R Airflow is a fantastically well-rounded chassis and a good pick for anyone looking to build a budget rig. For that price, the lack of modern cable management solutions is more of a foible than a substantial flaw. Hop over the Atlantic to the UK, and both models are available for £68 including tax, making the 275R Airflow far better value that side of the pond. Corsair currently sells the 275R Airflow in the US for either $80 for the black sku, or $90 for the white variant. Pricing for this case, while reasonable, is also a bit curious. Only one 14cm fan can be mounted at the top, and only at the front. But I had some small issues with the case that you should be aware of. Temps are good even with smaller fans than my previous case (Fractal R4). If it helps, the accessory kit it uses is the Carbide 270R one. With the likes of NZXT, Phanteks and even be quiet! introducing more intuitive ways of managing cables, whether that be through velcro straps or cable channels, the fact Corsair is still lagging behind in this area is disappointing. I really like how it looks, and its a bit smaller than most cases. Does anyone recommend any replacement screws for the Carbide 275R for securing the motherboard I've looked everywhere but I can't find the screw size for them. There are a lot of nice touches that help you to build a clean rig fairly easily, however the right side of the case does desperately need an update as cable management is concerned. Building inside the 275R is also an enjoyable experience. I see that the new 275R 'Airflow' replaced them with a slot key and a better front panel. That front panel is going to be fairly divisive the design is ostentatious and bold, but as far as effectiveness is concerned it performs well. Corsair 275R replacement glass screws Hello, I have a Corsair 275R with the tempered glass panel and the allen key screws. Corsair has launched the Carbide 275R which is a mid-tower ATX case that promises good airflow as well as support for a 280mm or 360mm radiator in the front and a 240mm cooler in the roof. It addresses a lot of the airflow concerns, without changing much of what was good about the original case. Corsair’s 275R Airflow is an impressive variant of the original Carbide 275R. Lastly, if none of that convinces you, here's definitive proof: You can actually talk to Dude after escaping from Deep Caverns, and you can ask him if he is Dr. Who is to say Dude didn't discover the secret, too? And that's not all: Eidein, Gunter Vasilica, Wyatt Pear they all lived passed Biocorp's dissolution. Maybe he was his own test subject, and a successful one at that? Or maybe the mushroom brew really is the key to his longevity? Regardless, we know that Ezra was once an Apex Technocrat ( Anton 'Wight' Matveev, to be exact) and he's still alive. John Dyson, he would have been in charge of the operations at the Tithonus Lab, which was entirely focused on maximizing human longevity. Regarding his longevity/immortality, if Dude is Dr. Wasi Abdul, who peeled his own skin off thanks to whatever the hell those Psi Monoliths did to him. Perhaps he drinks mushroom brew all the time to suppress his psionic abilities? Maybe he doesn't want to end up like Dr. And, given his "senses," it's likely that Dude does have some strong psionic powers, even though he doesn't actually have any psi points. Plus, if he led their psionics dept, that means he probably interacted with all of the Psi Monoliths, and considering what those reveal to the player, it's likely that Dude would be even more enlightened, as you would expect the leader of the psionics department to have strong psionic abilities himself. John Dyson, who worked at Hollow Earth and led their entire psionics dept (let that sink in), he would naturally know a lot more than the average joe. Seriously, Dude knows everything.Īs for why Dude knows so much? Well, all of those things are somehow related back to Biocorp, the Faceless, and Hollow Earth. I'll explain why if you want to know.), and even to the existence of the Oculus (which, if you never met Azif, you don't even know what that is and hoooooo boy are you missing out on like half the lore in the game that place is a lore goldmine). The information he reveals to you concerns everything from Six / Rahm Umbra ("watch out for people with six fingers on their hands they'll mess you up."), to the Psi Monoliths, to the origins of the Faceless ("part men, part gods, part rock" yes, that is all true. Go back and read everything he tells you when you ask him if he knows anything interesting. Third, there is the fact that Dude knows waaaay more about the world than any normal character should. And the groin guards in his wardrobe (which are presumably supposed to be underwear it's a Big Lebowski reference, like the rest of his character). Second, there is the fully stocked bar in his room at Caerus. There are numerous pieces of evidence in the game that demonstrate this.įirst, there's the fact that Dr. John Dyson, head of psionics research at Hollow Earth. And I've heard, he is some secret society leader? I never finished Jack Quicksilver's quest "Meet Azif", is that connected somehow? It is also mentioned that he is strange or funny. Автор сообщения: timur743There is an email in Caerus residential, that mentions him.
